A Year of Sunday Mornings: Week Thirty-One

Yesterday, we went to Canada for a Tweed Ride. It was adorable and a jolly good time. However, I don’t recommend beginning to drink at noon and not stopping until eleven. I don’t know if I’ll be leaving bed today.

Fall Fashion Inspiration: Call the Midwife

I have been completely crushed by the wait for new episodes of ‘Downton Abbey’. Fortunately, I’ve just discovered the series ‘Call the Midwife’ on the BBC. It’s about midwifery in the east end of London in the late 50s.

The costumes are amazing! Plus the nurses ride adorable bicycles when they make house calls. Don’t be surprised if you see me riding down the street in a vintage nurse’s uniform.

Fall Fashion Inspiration: Love Story

I know I’m jumping the gun on this, but I can feel fall coming. It’s my favorite season. The weather is perfect for cozy sweaters and apple cider. The world turns such beautiful colors and everything smells wonderful.

I was thinking about some of my favorite films to watch during the fall. The first thing that came to mind was Love Story. I absolutely covet Ali MacGraw’s wardrobe in that film.

Travel Accessories

I’m leaving for Tokyo in the morning and have been pondering the perfect travel accessories. I’m taking some style tips from Miss Hepburn for my Japan travel wardrobe. She was always so effortlessly stylish.

I’m keeping it simple with a vintage scarf and over sized sunglasses this time, but if I ever become a lady of luxury I might scoop up a few of these items. I’ve always been a fan of the Wallpaper City Guides and was thrilled to see they are now making a mobile version.
