Every Year I Fall for Autumn

This Labor Day was one of the coldest on record for Chicago. The unseasonable weather caused me to spend most of the holiday missing the autumn of my childhood in Michigan, particularly apple orchards and cider mills.

I feel some baking inspiration approaching. Bring on the apples, pumpkin, and squash.
